What if someone suggested living for nine months in a village in the interior of the Algarve to you? Nine young people accepted this challenge from the Manuel Viegas Foundation and together they have created the Querença Project, an entrepreneurial initiative set in the countryside which aims to promote the natural and social resources and the heritage of the Algarve region. As part of our sustainability policy – More Future, which includes the promotion of local suppliers, Tivoli Hotels & Resorts is supporting the Querença Project.

Straight from the fields to the market. This has been the slogan for the Querença Project  to help promote the small rural markets which are held every month in the village of Querença.
On 10 June, the market is is moving to the city and is coming to Vilamoura. As always, on sale will be traditional regional products and this time the focus is on aromatic herbs.

Bringing the Querença market to the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura is a way of letting tourists know about this project, combining the best of life on the coast with the best traditional products from the countryside.
